Good Morning to all the snow lovers out there! As the Sunday storm gets closer, the confidence in a plowable snow continues to grow. The issue with this storm is that the ocean water is a warm 45 degrees and there will be an ocean wind so there will be rain and mixing closer to the coast but all snow inland. The next 3 maps give you an idea of where there will be some mixing.
Weather.com has increased their snow total amounts from yesterday's post. They are now predicting
6-10 inches as opposed to yesterday's 4-8 inches.
This snowfall will be the first significant snow in over a year so some people may not be prepared for it. The winds shouldn't cause many power outages, but you never know when we get snow - Be Prepared!
Not many meteorologists want to give snow totals yet. Most will wait until Friday but I did find a few.
If more snow total maps appear tonight with the 6pm news, I will post them here around 7pm so check back then.
