Hurricane Lee more out to sea

 Good Morning

It appears that Hurricane Lee will be a category 1 storm when it reaches the Northeast but it will be staying off the coast so as to minimize impact in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

The storm will bring winds to our area and some impressive wave action at the coast. The cape should be the only area getting heavy rains from this storm which is a good thing since the ground is saturated from all the rain in the past week.

This will be my last Hurricane Lee update unless something changes with the forecast.

Mother nature out of Control

While I am on the computer checking for updates on Hurricane Lee I am informed of a tornado warning for my area. Eric Fischer on WBZ just stated a strong storm with a tornado possibility was headed to my town in the next 15-20 minutes so I need to make this quick.

Hurricane Lee should stay off shore but Massachusetts will not be spared entirely. We will get some wind and rain on the Eastern side of the state. The storm is still a couple days away so things can change

I'll be back with another update tomorrow but now I need to be prepared for a possible tornado.

Hurricane Lee

I guess I am on the hurricane watch since Hurricane Lee is headed to the northeast.  Yesterday the projected cone included some of Massachusetts.

Today, as of 2:00 pm, the projected path has taken a slight turn to the East bringing it just off the coast.

The storm is still 4 days away and a lot can happen in that time frame. I will continue to watch the weather reports and post here each evening.
Even if the storm does not make landfall in Massachusetts we will still be able to get wind and some rain. The coast will have to watch for flooding.
I may drive up to Hampten Beach, NH and watch the large waves crash onto the road.

I'll be back tomorrow...
