Nor'easter on the way

We have a big storm headed this way. One of the news stations had this as the headline.

The storm will bring mainly rain to our area but the rain will change to snow at the end of the storm so we could get a couple of inches, but the biggest story is the heavy rain (a couple of inches) and the high winds. Be prepared for power outages.

Saturday night snow

Are you ready for a little more snow? We have some arriving late Saturday night. Should be here around 10pm and the snow should be over by 7am. There are varying amount being forecasted but everyone agrees at least 3 inches.

I'm so excited that this is the start of vacation week. Everyone enjoy February vacation!

It is still winter

Enjoy the warm temperatures this week because they will be dropping this weekend. A low pressure is on the way and that means we have a storm coming. NOT a big storm, but this storm is bringing some snow.

The light snow should arrive Saturday night and linger into Sunday morning. Not sure on the amounts yet because there may be some mixing. 

I'll keep reading reports about the storm and post an update when I know more. We shouldn't get too much snow because this storm looks to be a fast mover but there is the chance for up to 6 inches.

Wednesday storm

The headline on weather.com is

Snow in our area will start around 10am and we will get a few inches of snow and some ice before the precipitation turns to all rain in the afternoon.

A little snow coming Wednesday

Our next chance for snow is in two days. When the front arrives (some time in the late morning)  our temperature will be cold enough to support snow but by the early evening the rain/snow line will be far enough north that we get all rain.
Right now it looks like only 2 inches before we change to rain which will wash all the snow away. I will post an update tomorrow.

Small amounts of snow headed our way

Here we go again. The meteorologists are predicting a couple of inches of snow for tomorrow morning. I just hope it stays a couple of inches and doesn't turn into another Tuesday morning.

Then we have another chance on Superbowl Monday. Right now I think it may be too warm for snow here and we will end up with rain. Sorry everyone, no snow day the day after the superbowl. I will let you know if anything changes.

After that storm goes by we have a chance at more snow on Wednesday, but that could also be rain instead of snow.

If the rain forecasted turns into snow you can be sure  I will blog about it
