Afternoon update

The problem with blogging about a storm so far in advance of its arrival is that the forecast is constantly changing. What I write now may be totally different tomorrow morning but here goes.
One change since my last post is that the storm is coming a little later. The snow will probably start Saturday afternoon instead of in the morning.

There are a couple of different tracks this storm can take

right now most meteorologists are thinking track #1 but there is a possibility that it will travel further south leaving us with only a few inches of snow.

Matt Noyes is a meteorologist for NECN. His early prediction is 8-12 inches in our area (southern mass and RI) then as you get closer to the Mass pike 4 - 6 inches and only 2-4 inches in Northern Mass.
Everyone keeps saying it is too early to give out amounts. Below are the graphics I found with some sort of amounts.

This is from channel 4 WBZ

No amounts on this one from NECN but heavy snow means up to a foot.

Accuweather.com posted this map with us getting 6 to 12
