Tricky Forecast

Good Morning everyone. Are you ready for a powerful Nor'easter?  I have spent the last 2 hours reading and watching everything I could about this storm, Sage, headed our way tonight and I have learnt that March storms are a little bit more complicated in predicting snowfall amounts because we don't have the cold air.

We will be getting a lot of rain and that should turn to snow by late tomorrow afternoon in southeastern Massachusetts. We will also be getting strong winds that will probably cause power outages. These outages could last multiple days so make sure you are ready. Charge all electronic devices today and get gas for your generators and snow blowers.

This is a map put out by the national weather service showing the wind speeds during this long duration storm. 50 mph winds combined with wet heavy snow = power outage

The rain will start tonight around 8pm and should change to snow in southern Massachusetts late tomorrow afternoon. I don't think schools will close in eastern Mass tomorrow (just heavy rain) but possibly on Wednesday,
Here are the latest snowfall maps from this morning. some are the same as yesterday.

I will update this afternoon if anything changes. If all stays the same then there will NOT be any more posts about this storm.
