First snow total maps

Some meteorologists have posted their first maps with snow totals for Saturday night and Sunday. The snow should start between 10 pm and midnight Saturday and continuing until early afternoon Sunday.

Here are the first maps that have been posted. I’m sure these will change and there will be more posted tomorrow so I will update the blog tomorrow morning.

Winter Storm "Garnett"

Since today's snow event is just about over, time to talk about the next one...

Winter storm Garnett is headed our way late Saturday night into Sunday. This is the headline from the weather channel

This should be our biggest snowfall of the season with most of the state getting over 6 inches and some places up to a foot.
We all know that the weather changes day to day, so I will keep reading all the updates on this storm and will post here at least once each day if not twice.
I am expecting some meteorologists to post snowfall total maps tonight. If that happens I will post them tonight.
Hope you enjoy the snow because we have more coming next week too.

More Snow

Hope everyone is enjoying their snow day. I saw most of the State has closed due to the timing of this snow/ice storm.

After this storm we have to keep an eye on Saturday night. There is a potential for more than 6 inches this weekend.

I will pay more attention to the weekend storm after I get through today. I will post an update tomorrow.

Thursday Snow

Tomorrow’s storm isn’t going to give us a lot of snow but the timing is tough and there will also be ice which is more dangerous. The storm starts in the morning and peaks in early afternoon. Getting to work or school may not be a problem but heading home may be rough.

Schools will have a tricky decision to make. Usually we think of a snow day when there will be several inches of snow. Tomorrow we may only have 3-4 inches but will be slippery travel.

I had a medical appointment in Boston at noon time and I rescheduled. So glad I don’t have to be on the roads tomorrow.stay safe everyone

lots of small snow amounts

There are NO big storms in sight but there are several chances for a little snow to fall. The first chance is Thursday morning with it changing to rain in the afternoon. I have to drive to Boston that day for a medical appointment so the snow does not make me happy.

Then we have a chance of getting 3 or 4 inches over the weekend. probably Saturday night.

Wednesday February 12th we may get a few more inches

And yet another chance for a few inches on the weekend of the 15th.

Maybe one of these chances will turn into something bigger. I will keep you posted.

A little more snow

No Big storms yet! We have another chance at 1-3 inches of snow for Sunday night into Monday morning. Not enough to close schools but enough to make the morning commute a little tricky.

Should anything change with this snow forecast, I will update the blog. If it all stays the same then I will be back next week with an update of the chance of snow next Sunday night. The timing for this snow is perfect for a snow day if only we would get more than 3 inches. sorry!

No Big storms in sight

Once again I am here to say we are not getting any big snow any time soon. There is a chance for an inch or two Wednesday and then another inch or two this weekend. I wish mother nature would just give us one big snow storm this winter. I will continue to monitor the weather and report here if I see any chance at plowable snow. ❄❄❄❄

Sunday Night Snow

Hello snow lovers, we have some plowable snow coming our way tomorrow. The snow is expected to start in the late afternoon and continue all night. If you have somewhere to go tomorrow just plan to be off the roads by dinner time.

This will not be a huge storm but there will be enough to shovel and plow. Fox 25 described the snow as get the snow blower ready but no need to prep the generator.

Here are a few of the snow total maps I found online. If there is a big change, I will post again.

 Everyone enjoy the shoveling.
Sorry no school cancelations since it is a holiday.

Get the Shovels ready

We may finally have some plowable snow in our state of Massachusetts. Late Sunday afternoon the snow should start and continue through Monday morning. Unfortunately there is a holiday Monday, so no snow day (School Cancelations)

As more meteorologists post snow total maps, I will place them here. Probably later tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.
